Semitrailer crash closes I-95 Monday night into the morning

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A semitrailer that overturned Monday night closed northbound lanes on Interstate 95 at the 145 mile marker, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Whitney Robinson, 35, of Dacula, Ga., was driving a 2014 Volvo semitrailer and was not injured, according to authorities.

Robinson was using his seatbelt.

Robinson was in the outside lane when he veered over onto the right shoulder and struck a light pole and construction sign, according to FHP.

He tried to correct and overturned on the road and slid across I-95 with the front of the semitrailer striking the guardrail. The vehicle came to rest blocking both northbound lanes facing northwest.

Lanes were closed for the investigation and clean up, according to authorities. They were re-opened at 1:20 a.m.
