Jack Edward Randall, 83, of Barefoot Bay, formerly of Bath, Mich., passed away on Dec. 5, 2014.
He is survived by brothers Gerald Randall, Az., and Francis Randall, Mich.; his children Karen Niblock, Fla., Curtis Randall (Kathy Randall), Mich., and Jacke Randall (Carol Smith) Mich.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Randall was born July 25, 1931, to Francis and Clarice Randall of Bath, Michigan.
He graduated Bath High School and attended Michigan State University. He served in the Army during the Korean War as a forward observer for a Field Artillery. After the war he settled back in the village of Bath to raise his family with his wife Virgie who preceded him in death Feb. 16, 2013.
He worked many different jobs during his lifetime, retiring from the State of Michigan in the early 1980s, but he never stopped working on something.
Randall loved camping but after spending some time traveling the United States they decided to settle in Barefoot Bay Florida so they could have a mail box and enjoy the warm weather.
A lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, Randall was an active member in every community he lived in. He started the summer softball program for kids and adults in Bath, was a first responder for the Barefoot Bay Fire Department and ran the donation truck for the Church’s Thrift Store. He could always see the good in any person and was always first to offer to help in any way he could.
Services to be held in Barefoot Bay and Bath to be announced at a later date. Donations in his name to the American Cancer Society or Veterans of Foreign Wars are greatly appreciated.
