83rd Street, 101st Avenue changing to 4-way stop Dec. 18

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — On Thursday, Dec. 18, at 10 a.m., the County Traffic Engineering Division will change the traffic control at the intersection of 83rd Street and 101st Avenue from a two-way stop to a four-way stop.

Currently, traffic must stop only on 83rd Street while motorists on 101st Avenue have the right-of-way. Stop signs will be added on 101st Avenue, making the intersection a four-way stop. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching the intersection as vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists adjust to the change.
