Ann Hayward Morgan, 91, of Vero Beach, passed away on Dec. 4, 2014, at Grace Rehabilitation of Vero Beach.
She is survived by her children Jeff Stone (Laura), of Columbus, Miss., Peggy Coats (Paul), of Morgan City, La., Farren Stone (Cindi) of Sunrise, Fla., Robert Stone (Diana), of Boulder, Colo.; and her stepdaughters, Mary Ann Harris (Mike) of Gainesville, Fla., Margaret Connell (Steve) of Vero Beach, and Martha Rankin (Bill) of Tampa. She had 11 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, her husband W. Frank Morgan, and her daughter Catherine (Kaki) Kolb.
Morgan was born in Monroe, La., on Nov. 24, 1923, to the Reverend and Mrs. Edward Farren Hayward.
She graduated from Neville High School, Louisiana State University and Northeast Louisiana University with her Master’s degree. Morgan taught in the Monroe City School system for many years. She lived in Monroe until 1996 when she moved to Vero Beach.
While in Monroe, she was a member of St. Thomas’s Episcopal Church and in Vero Beach, she was a member of St, Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church.
A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at St. Augustine Episcopal Church, Vero Beach, at a later date. The interment will be in the columbarium at St. Augustine.
