VERO BEACH – The City of Vero Beach has rescinded its precautionary boil water advisory that was issued Dec. 5.
Results of bacteriological testing show that the water is safe for use. Residents of the area no longer need to boil water prior to cooking or drinking.
The advisory affected residents on the City’s water system along A-1-A from Seagrape Drive in the Moorings, south to the Indian River County line.

VERO BEACH — The City of Vero Beach has issued a precautionary boil water notice for all residents served by the Vero Beach Water System living along S.R. A1A from Seagrape Drive, in the Moorings Subdivision, south to the Indian River County Line.
A water main break occurred on Thursday Dec. 4. Therefore, as a precaution, the City advises that all water used for drinking or cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled.
A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative bottled water may be used.
This “Precautionary Boil Water Notice” will remain in effect until bacteriological testing shows that the water is safe to drink.
