William “Bill” LaFevers, 79, Vero Beach

William “Bill” LaFevers passed away peacefully Nov. 20, 2014, with his loving wife, Jeanne, at his side. The son of Luther and Virginia LaFevers, he was born in Independence, Mo., on July 29, 1935. He grew up in the Independence and Kansas City area and moved to Vero Beach in the late ‘60s.

He spent most of his professional life in the furniture business in Vero Beach and Sebastian. He was a proud Marine from 1953-1955. He had also lived with Jeanne in Las Vegas, and Seneca, S. Ca., in the last 20 years.

Those who knew and loved him will always remember his fun loving nature and boyish looks. He was patient, strong willed and always ready for a good time.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jeanne; sons Samuel, Michael and William (Jane); grandchildren Tyler LaFevers, Gina Ettienne, Angie (Adam) Durrell and Amanda Perry; 3 great-grandchildren and his brother Charlie (Jill).

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held Dec. 20, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. at C.J. Cannon’s in Vero Beach.
