VERO BEACH — Main Street Vero Beach invites the community to come eat, drink, and be merry at Christmas in Downtown. The November Downtown Friday Street Party will kick off the Christmas season with G T Express Band and special celebrity guest Santa Claus on Friday, Nov. 28 from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
The music, food and vendor booths will be set up all along 14th Avenue between 20th and 23rd Streets. There will be activities for children and the opportunity to visit with Santa Claus who arrives at 6:30 p.m.
The Salvation Army is the featured non-profit and Treasure and Space Coast Radio is sponsoring the “Kettle Kick-Off” as well as collecting unwrapped toys for the Angel Tree program.
The community bicycle ride sponsored by Vero Cycling will start at 4:30 p.m. this month. The ride begins in the parking lot east of Jetson TV and Appliance between the Twin Pairs. Cyclists of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate in the casual 6 mile ride. Everyone participating should wear a helmet and children need to be accompanied by an adult. The ride lasts about an hour, no one is left behind and the cyclists circle back to Downtown Friday. For more information on the bike ride, check verocycling.org.
