Tickets on sale for Emerson Center’s speakers Series

VERO BEACH — Woody Sutton, Chairman of the Special Program Committee at the Emerson Center announced that the usual Dec. 1 launch date for the sale of single tickets has been changed.

“Due to the large volume of interest in purchasing single tickets for our four person speaker series, our committee has decided to begin selling single tickets along with the series tickets now,” Sutton said.

Single tickets for the Emerson Center’s 2015 Celebrated Speakers Series are now on sale for $80 for 4 p.m. performances and $70 for 6:30 p.m. performances. Additionally, series subscriptions for $275 for 4 p.m. shows and $255 for the 6:30 p.m. shows are still available for purchase until Jan. 17, 2015.

The tickets are for the engaging and informative speakers in the four-program series at The Emerson Center at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach. The performances are held on Saturdays, with the exception of Jack Abramoff, who will speak on Sunday, Feb. 8.

The series launches with General David Petraeus on Saturday, Jan. 17; ex-lobbyist Jack Abramoff follows on Sunday, Feb. 8; well-known scientist Michio Kaku on Saturday, Feb. 28 and finally the series concludes with Producer/Director Lee Daniels on Saturday, March 21.

Tickets for Emerson Center performances may be purchased either online at www.TheEmersonCenter.org or by calling the Box Office at (772)-778-5249. Student tickets for balcony seating will be sold for $20 for the 6:30 p.m. performance only. Tickets will be sold at the door with a student ID. At the 6:30 p.m. performance of General Petraeus, Active Duty Military are eligible for balcony tickets for $25.

The Emerson Center is conveniently located on the campus of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach, on the SE corner of 16th Street and 27th Avenue. It has more than 300 parking spaces, an auditorium that seats more than 800 people in comfortable padded seating, a raised stage that offers everyone unrestricted views, and professional state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems. Ask about the new elevator to the 2nd floor balcony and the seating for the physically challenged.
