USA Dance holds winter fundraisers Nov. 20 and Dec. 18

VERO BEACH — USA Dance in Vero Beach is holding two fundraising dances in November and December 2014.

Thursday, Nov. 20, will be the annual Toys for Tots dance. Attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped toy for the Marines to deliver during the Christmas Season to families in need. The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, a recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charity, (just like USA Dance), is the authorized fundraising and support organization for the Toys for Tots Program. Their ultimate success depends on the support and generosity of the local community and the people who donate toys.

An hour Rumba dance lesson given by Joe Wynes in November from 7-8 p.m. followed by general dancing from 8-10 p.m. Cost of this dance is $10 for guests and $8 for USA Dance members.

The Dec. 18, Winter Wonderland Christmas Dinner Dance, is a fundraiser for The Source in Vero Beach. The Source is a Christ-centered outreach and resource center for homeless and at risk people in the area.

December’s event is very special as USA Dance is asking dancers to bring canned goods to supple the Source’s pantry. There will also be a grand raffle with wonderful gifts donated by local businesses including prizes like gift certificates, gift baskets, and dance lessons.

Live music will be provided by Janice and Rene from Melbourne, from 7-10 p.m. An Italian Dinner will be served to those with reservations please. The cost of this dance is $15 for dinner and dance or $10 for dance only. Feel free to bring an appetizer or dessert to share.

The dances are held from 7-10 p.m. at the Heritage Center, 2145 14th Ave Vero Beach.

Please come and support our local charities and have fun on the dance floor.
