Hundreds gathered at Riverside Park last Saturday morning for the 11th annual Walk to Remember to benefit the Alzheimer and Parkinson Association of Indian River County, which this year included a loop around the Veteran’s Memorial Island Sanctuary.
All money raised benefits local individuals dealing with memory and movement disorders through free programs and services offered to residents at the Center for Memory and Motion.
The organization also administers Project Lifesaver, a program designed to track and locate lost individuals. www.alzpark.org.
