INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — An Indian River County woman is facing two charges of felony possession of a controlled substance after police questioned her about being parked behind a “no trespassing” sign, and subsequently found cocaine in her purse.
Ariana Todd, 18, of 51st Court, Vero Beach, and her friend both claimed they were “doing their makeup,” when approached by police in the 4900 block of 1st Street SW.
According to the police report, an officer was on a routine patrol near an abandoned sub-division when he noticed a red Honda parked behind the subdivision’s barriers.
While approaching the vehicle, the officer observed two women making “furtive movements” as if the women were attempting to conceal something, according to the report.
A search of the vehicle revealed a small amount of “marijuana shake” and a pill bottle with the label removed that contained four green pills. A search of the defendant’s purse led police to a small bag of cocaine and a straw believed to be used to snort cocaine, according to authorities.
Todd was released the next day on $500 bond.
