Frederick August Schnell, 86, of Vero Beach, passed away on Nov. 9, 2014.
He is survived by his children Henry Lee Schnell (Nancy), Karen Lynn Boswell (David), Frederick J. Schnell (Elizabeth), and Timothy P. Schnell (Pamela L.); 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Naomi Schnell and a daughter Nancy Lynn Schnell.
Schnell was born in Cleveland, Ohio and was the son of the late Frederick A. and Edith Ellliott (nee Spellman) Schnell. It was in 1965 that his family moved to Vero Beach from Higginsport, Ohio.
During WWII, Schnell served in the US Army. He was a member of the Vero Beach Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
He was a retired watch maker, having worked for Zeran’s Jewelry before opening his own shop, Fred’s Clock Shop in Vero Beach.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Fred will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Vero Beach Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
