Marietta Emily ‘Susie’ Schiltz, 95, of Vero Beach, passed away on Nov. 7, 2014, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She is survived by her nephew Charles Schlitz; nieces Mary Schiltz, Carol Ebert, and Diane Schwartz; a sister-in-law Roseann Schiltz; and friend Judith Horne.
She was preceded in death by her sister Rosamond Isabelle Schiltz and two brothers William B. Schiltz and Joseph P. Schiltz.
She was born in Dubuque, Iowa to the late Joseph and Otillie (nee Bauer) Schiltz. She moved to Vero Beach in 1977 coming from Lauderdale By The Sea, Fla.
Schiltz was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach and enjoyed her time spent in the arts.
Memorial contributions may be made to one’s favorite charity.
The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque, Iowa.
