Twisted Ribbons to host Harvest Ride to benefit local families

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Twisted Ribbons, a 501c3 charitable organization formed in 2013, has announced its second annual four-county Harvest Ride to benefit local families struggling with catastrophic illness.

The four county ride is scheduled for Nov. 1, at 10 a.m., beginning at the K-Mark Plaza in Lantana and Warrior Pawn in Sebastian.

Traveling 50 miles, both rides will end at Treasure Coast Harley Davidson in Stuart where friends and family can gather for live music provided by Wild Child, food, prize drawings, and more.

“I myself am a cancer survivor, and I’ve lost family members to cancer, and I know the pain and financial as well as the emotional burden that cancer takes on an entire family,” said Kitty Hallck, President of Twisted Ribbons. “At the onset of illness life begins to tumble and the uncertainty of tomorrow can be overwhelming. The members of this organization want to let our hands help your hands so that all see a brighter tomorrow, and no family fights alone!”

Join Twisted Ribbons for the 2nd annual Harvest Ride to help make a difference.

Non-rider participants can pay $5 to cross the bridge at Treasure Coast Harley Davidson and to participate in the fun, food, and festivities. Registration costs $25 on the day of the event.

Twisted Ribbons Harvest Ride sponsors include Blue Marlin Motors USA, Nuco2, Big Trouble Bail Bonds, The Pot Belli Deli, HH Gregg, the American Legion Post #39, PSL Sunset Rotary, Hayhurst Land Surveying, Warrior Pawn, Treasure Coast Harley Davidson, and Crary Buchanan Attorneys at Law.
