Richard Durocher, 53, of Vero Beach, formerly of Lyndonville and St. Johnsbury, Vt., passed away at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach on Oct. 22, 2014.
He is survived by his devoted wife of nine years, Lynn Daviault Durocher; parents Larry and Gloria Durocher; siblings Barbara (Maurice) Chenette, Sandra (Randy) Amadon, Robert (Rosemary) Durocher, Raymond (Kathleen) Durocher; and his sister-in-law Diane (Paul) Rioux; children Gregory (Crystal) Durocher, Eric Durocher, Megan Durocher; step-children Rebecca (Dennis) McCall, Scott (Jessica) Brewer, Benjamin (Dani) Marie Brewer; his grandchildren Sophia, Gemma, Isabella, Troy and Jaxon; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many life-long friends.
Durocher was predeceased by parents-in-law, Roger E. and Jeannette Blanchard Daviault.
Durocher was born on March 27, 1961 in St. Johnsbury, Vt., the son of Larry and Gloria Durocher.
Visiting hours will be held at Pearsons Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Lyndonville, Vt. on Monday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in New Bedford, Mass., on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. Donations may be made to the Lyndon Youth Baseball/Softball Program, C/O Jon Prue, PO Box 1146, Lyndonville, Vermont 05851 – OR – to the American Red Cross, VT/NH Region, ATTN: Local Disaster Relief, 29 Mansfield Avenue, Burlington, Vermont 05401 – OR – to the VNAHospiceHouse, 901 37th Street, Vero Beach, Florida 32960.
