Dorothy Emily Lyons, 84, of Sebastian, passed away on Oct. 9, 2014.
She is survived by her son Richard Joseph Lyons; brother Melvin McClatchy, Jr.; sisters Gerri McClatchy, Melva Saiter, and Shirley Bayous; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Lyons, mother Elise DeWolf, and daughter Bonnie Lee Hertack.
Lyons was born in Hackensack, N.J. and lived in Sebastian coming from Scotch Plains, N.J. in 1986.
She retired as a bookkeeper for United Parcel Service.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church, Sebastian.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, at Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian, with Father Dave Newhart, St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Sebastian, www.strunkfuneralhome.com.
