William Russell, 66, of Sebastian, passed away on Oct. 3, 2014.
He is survived by his wife Janice Taylor; daughter Christina Thrower (Doug), Stacia Lee (Tim); son Tommy McNeil (Jodie); granddaughters Trinity and Rilynn Lee, and Haley Graham; brother Jack Taylor, Sr.; uncle Ronald Hall (Barbara) and aunt Evelyn Robichaud.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Hunter Lee.
He was born in Glens Falls, N.Y., and lived in Sebastian coming from Auburn, N.Y. He was a US Air Force veteran and received the Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal and many others. He retired after 21 years of service.
Russell also worked 15 years for the United States Postal Service, retiring in 2003. He was a member of VFW Post #10210, Sebastian, American Legion Post 117, Palm Bay, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Sebastian, Fraternal Order of Orioles Nest 272, Micco, Fla., and the Italian American Club of Sebastian.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Veterans and Families, the Disabled American Legion Riders.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fraternal Order of Orioles Nest 272, Sebastian, at 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 9. Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Sebastian. A guest book is available at www.strunkfuneralhome.com.
