Arne Toralv Taranger, 53, of Vero Beach, passed away suddenly at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center on Oct. 6, 2014.
He is survived by his parents Anders and Esther Taranger; sisters Kitty T. Rodgers and Anna T. Demelio; brother Nils C. Taranger; and many other friends, family, and his work family.
Taranger was born May 4, 1961, at the US Army Hospital at Landstuhl, West Germany. He graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1980 and worked as a retail jeweler for many years. He earned his BS in Business Administration from Indian River State College. Since Dec. 26, 2001, he worked as the safety officer for the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority.
He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew his kind spirit, experienced his great sense of humor, and who let him pour a glass of wine he chose just for them.
An informal Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Oct. 10, at 3 p.m. at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach. Everyone is invited to share their favorite memory or story about Arne.
