Garry “GT” Eugene Taylor, 78, of Vero Beach, passed away on Oct. 5, 2014.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Audrey A. Taylor; daughter Doreatha Anne Taylor (Dr. Scott Howell); brother Tot Taylor (Sharon); sister Darlene Taylor; and grandsons Sebastian Howell and Finn Howell.
He was preceded in death by his brother Gregg Taylor.
Taylor was born in Chicago, Ill., and lived in Vero Beach since 2001 coming from Holiday Lake, Iowa.
He had owned Custom Floor Covering Services in Iowa. Taylor enjoyed woodworking and performed several construction projects including building the family home in Holiday Lake, Iowa and a floating dock for his daughter.
Taylor was an active member of Riverside Church Assembly of God in Sebastian.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Riverside Church Assembly of God, Sebastian, with a Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. with Rev. Grant Foster, officiating. A reception will follow at the church.
