June Abo Finn, 92, of Atlantic Beach, formerly of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully on Oct. 5, 2014.
She is survived by her son Victor L. Abbo (Gail); grandson Tito A. Abbo III; stepson Bruce Dewey; many nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.
Finn resided for the last 25 years in Vero Beach and most recently at Fleet Landing in Atlantic Beach, Fla.
She was born on Deal Island, on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, March 13, 1922, the youngest of 10 siblings who all predeceased her. She tried to live a kind and gentle life. The highlight of her life were the years she spent with her precious late husband, Ned R. Finn.
She served as a navy nurse during WWII at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. She loved to travel and lived abroad for several years. She dabbled in art, as she described it, and thoroughly enjoyed poetry, composing some of her own. Life has been good to her but she looked forward to joining the many loved ones who preceded her.
The family extends many thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at Fleet Landing and Community Hospice.
A private service will be held in New Jersey at a later date. Memorials may be made in June’s name to Fleet Landing Charitable Gift Fund or the Fleet Landing Endowment Fund at 1 Fleet Landing Blvd, Atlantic Beach, FL 32233. Arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Beaches Chapel.
