INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A 28-year-old Vero Beach man is being held in lieu of $506,000 bond after he allegedly shot at least one round at a vehicle occupied by two females on Saturday.
Two victims reported they were sitting in the driver and passenger seats of a vehicle parked at a residence waiting for a relative, when a man they recognized as Rickie Solomon arrived at the same residence in a blue Honda.
According to the arrest report, both victims reported hearing sounds of someone loading a gun, and observed Solomon point a silver handgun directly at their vehicle and fire one round.
As the victims fled in the car, they heard two more rounds being fired, according to the report.
Authorities found Solomon in a truck in the yard of his South County residence. According to the arrest affidavit, Solomon did not respond to multiple commands from police to get on the ground and instead attempted to enter his residence.
Police found a silver firearm on the passenger side floorboard of the truck with a magazine removed and placed on top of the gun.
A detective called to the scene found seven live rounds in the eight round single stack magazine, according to the report. He also discovered one shell casing at the crime scene.
Solomon faces charges on two counts of attempted felony murder, misdemeanor discharging a firearm in public, and misdemeanor resist arrest without violence.
