Marianne Kost, 71, of Vero Beach, passed away on Oct. 3, 2014, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles A. Kost; son and daughter-in-law, Charles A. Kost III and Gina Kost; daughter Dorianne Farnham; grandsons Charles A. Kost IV, Jonathan Farnham, and Anthony Kost; granddaughters Katherine A. Farnham and Julianne T. Farnham and Gianna Marie Kost; and sister Rosalie Gillis.
Kost was born in Westbury, Long Island, N.Y. and lived in Vero Beach for 23 years coming from Uniondale, Long Island, N.Y. She was the cafeteria food director for the Babylon School District in the Village of Babylon, N.Y. for 20 years before her retirement in 1990. In Vero Beach, she worked as the director of the Indian River Christian School for five years. She was a member of Central Assembly of God, Vero Beach.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Central Assembly of God, Vero Beach with Rev. Larry Boan officiating. An online guest book is available at www.strunkfuneralhome.com.
