INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Prior to her bond reduction hearing set for Thursday morning, Jamie Williams’ defense attorney struck a deal with the State that reduced her bond under several conditions, court documents show.
Williams is the woman accused of driving under the influence when she struck 16-year-old bicyclist Cole Coppola in the early morning hours of Saturday, Sept. 27.
Williams’ bond dropped from $502,000 down to $100,000 and she was released just after 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.
Williams is pleading not guilty to a charge of DUI manslaughter in the death of Coppola, according to her attorney Alan Landman. She has requested a jury trial.
