INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Recreation Department will begin taking registrations for the 2015 Winter Basketball Season starting Oct. 1. Organizers will only honor the first five request per team.
This co-ed league is designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball, sportsmanship, discipline, and most importantly fun. All kids ages 4-15 are encouraged to participate this season.
Player fees are $35 and sponsor fees are $150.
Birth certificates are required at time of registration. Registration will close on Nov. 15.
Teams will be separated by age divisions:
- Tot-Time 4-5
- Mighty Mite 6-8
- Midgets 9-10
- Juniors 11-12
- Seniors 13-15
Playing age reached by March 2, 2015.
Coaches, officials, and sponsors are needed for all age groups.
Sign up is held at the County Administration Building or North County Aquatic Center between 8:30a.m. – 5p.m.
