Madeline L. Hutchinson, 89 of Sebastian, formerly of Enfield, Ct., died Monday Sept. 15, 2014, at Windham Hospital. We say good-bye to our wonderful mother, aunt and friend, Madeline L. Hutchinson.
Madeline was born to Gladys and Simon DeYoung, of Norwell, Mass., in 1925. Madeline was predeceased by her loving husband Kenneth as well as her brothers Edward, Simon and George.
Madeline’s life will be celebrated and remembered by her three children and their spouses Douglas and Virginia, Kenneth, and Gayle and Linda.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeff and Sarah, and great-grandchildren, Rachel, Melody and Lianna.
Madeline graduated Brockton High School in 1943. While in high school, Madeline enjoyed sport activities and business organizations. After graduation, she attended business school before marrying Kenneth Hutchinson in 1946.
Madeline lived with her family and worked in Enfield, Ct., for many years. She and her husband retired to Sebastian. Most recently, she resided in Mansfield, Ct.
Madeline spent her leisure time painting, reading and traveling. Most important to her, though, was spending quality time with family and friends.
The family is planning a private celebration of life. There will be no calling hours.
