The Band Perry to headline benefit concert in Vero Beach

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A concert headlined by famed country music group, The Band Perry, will take place on Dec. 6 at Holman Stadium at Historic Dodgertown.

The concert titled, “Step Up America,” will serve as a “Hero’s Appreciation Festival concert event” according to official documentation requesting the use of Holman Stadium. The event is organized by the American Security Council Foundation, a non-profit that serves to raise awareness about the role of active duty military, veterans, law enforcement, and first responders.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit the UDT/SEAL, Trident House, and the ASCF Scholarship Fund.

Trident House, located on the Indian River Lagoon in Sebastian, “serves as a critical and complimentary respite for the families of the US Navy SEALs who were killed in the Line of Duty. It is also available to battle worn or injured SEALs and their families, as well as to other military personnel with similar needs,” according to www.navysealmusium.org.

If the Dec. 6 concert date calls for a re-schedule, a rain date will be planned according to The Band Perry’s tour schedule, according to the provided background information.
