Bernice Griffin, 82, of Vero Beach, passed away on Aug. 31, 2014.
She is survived by her children John Michael Griffin (Erica), Jane Ford (Bobby), Jason Griffin (Wendy); Sister Kitturah Amison; and multiple grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, J.C. Griffin, in 2013; her parents Edward Harley Hamilton and Maggie Jane (Fountain) Hamilton; brothers Ottis Hamilton, Olin Hamilton and Fletcher Hamilton; and sister Ophelia Bianchi.
She was born in the town of Portland in Walton County Florida on March 13, 1932 and had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1976 coming from Ft. Pierce.
Griffin was a homemaker.
A viewing will be held from 4-6 p.m. with a service on Thursday, Sept. 4, at 6 p.m. at the Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held Friday, Sept. 5, at 10 a.m. at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
