Margaret ‘Tudda’ Moore, 71, of Vero Beach, passed away Aug. 15, 2014.
She is survived by her two sons, Slade Grant and Staton Grant (Tabitha); granddaughters Jada and Nila Grant; brother, Edward Moore; nephpew and niece Edward Moore and Anna Blackmon Moore; and her sister’s remaining family Clay, Kenny, and Julie Weaver along with their spouses and children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Adele Moore.
Moore was born Oct. 2, 1942 in Macon, Ga. to Edward and Adele Moore. She later moved to St. Simons Island, Ga. in 1974, where she raised her two sons Slade and Staton Grant and began her career as a travel agent.
In 1985, the family moved to Vero Beach where Moore remained until her death on Aug. 15, surrounded by her two sons, her best friend, Peggy Telford, and her granddaughter.
She was well known for her strong southern drawl and ability to do anything she put her mind to. She had a love for decorating and re-doing homes. She was always rearranging floor plans, laying tile, decorating kitchens, and reupholstering furniture. One of her favorite past times was making ceramics. She had her own kiln, and made life-sized nativity scenes for several local churches in Vero Beach.
More than anything, she was a very giving, selfless mother, grandmother, and aunt. There was nothing she loved more than spending time with her family.
There will be a gathering from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home.
