MACE busts 3 Vero Beach men with drugs, money

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Three Vero Beach men have been arrested after the Multi-Agency Criminal Enforcement (M.A.C.E.) served a search warrant late Friday on drug charges, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office M.A.C.E. Unit executed a search warrant in the 600 block of 4th Place SW, according to the press release. During the search, detectives located and seized 57 grams of cocaine, 71 grams of marijuana, 3 hydromorphone pills, $989.00 of drug money, and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia including syringes and a digital scale.

Patrick Greene Jr., 26, and Marquette Hill, 26, both of Vero Beach, were arrested and face charges of trafficking in cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of more than twenty grams of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to authorities.

Kevin Steward, 51, of Vero Beach, was also arrested and faces charges of possession of less than twenty grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

“Our M.A.C.E. Unit continues to eradicate those who sell dangerous drugs in our community,” said Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar. “We are listening to your complaints about drug activity and systematically taking them down. We are proud of the work our undercover detectives do, putting their lives on the line to make our community safer.”
