Henry Adolphus Maxwell, 75, Vero Beach

Henry Adolphus Maxwell, 75, of Vero Beach, passed away on July 28, 2014, at Indian River Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 27, 1939 in Clarendon, Jamaica, and has been a resident of Indian River County since 1987.

Henry retired from the Windsor Properties. He was a member of Grant Church of God in Jamaica where he served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and musician.

He loved playing the guitar. Henry enjoyed farming, music and cooking.

Henry’s survivors include his sons, Paul Maxwell and Percival Maxwell; daughters, Clovia Maxwell, Mulvina Maxwell, of Vero Beach, and Tracy Maxwell; a brother, Benjamin Maxwell; sisters, Rachel Willis, Burnetta Edwards, Noami Faulknor, Gwendolyn McLeod, Dora Gayle, and Madgeline Moore; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anita Brown and Norman Maxwell, and a brother, Walva Maxwell.

Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 8 and a funeral service to be held 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel, Vero Beach.

Burial will immediate following services at Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach.
