James Nicholas Taskalos Sr., 68, of Vero Beach, passed away at his home in Vero Beach.
He is survived by his loving wife of seventeen years, Marilyn F. (Muller) Taskalos; sons, James N. Taskalos, Jr. (Joan), David J. Taskalos (Kimberly), Bryan W. Taskalos, and Daniel T. Taskalos; three grandchildren, Nicholas J. Taskalos, Emily M. Taskalos and Andrew J. Taskalos.
He was born Oct. 28, 1945 in Hoboken, N.J., son of the late Nicholas and Dorothy (Hatton) Taskalos.
He was employed with the General Foods Corporation in Hoboken, N.J. and Philip Morris/ Altria Corporation in New York, N.Y. Upon his retirement in March 2008, after 40 years of employment in the tax department, he relocated from Yorktown Heights, N.Y. to Vero Beach.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial gifts be made to Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org). Collins Funeral Home located at 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, Conn., is handling arrangements.
