Jerry Lee Hammer, 49, of Vero Beach, passed away on July 23, 2014.
He is survived by his step-mom Jenny Spears Hammer; sisters Vickie Covert (Darrell), Jennifer Hammer (Glynn Young), and Shannon Rooney; and brother Jason Hammer (Amie Richmond); and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was born Nov. 17, 1964 in Zanesville, Ohio and was son of the late Jerry Hammer of Fellsmere, Florida and Juanita Sue Bookman Hammer of Crooksville, Ohio.
Hammer was a graduate of Lawrence County High School in Louisa, Kent.
A mechanic by trade, Hammer was well known for his mechanic abilities. He was at the top of his field as an ASE Master Technician.
He had a love for fishing and football. Hammer will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service commemorating his life will be held at a later date.
