Jeanine Kinney, 77, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2014, in her home surrounded by her loving family after a long illness.
She is survived by her husband, John; children, John Kinney, Jr. (Renae), Kathleen Taylor (John), Kevin Kinney (Robin), Jennifer Plym (Randy); eight grandchildren; sister, Barbara Kasak (Dick); and many nieces and nephews.
Kinney was born on Feb. 13, 1937 in Chicago, Ill., and resided in Lombard, Ill. before moving to Vero Beach in 1976. She raised four children and ran Combs Insurance Agency in Vero Beach.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, from 4-7 p.m. at Strunk Funeral Home, 916 17th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 30, at 10 a.m. Mass of a Christian Burial will take place at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2085 Tallahassee Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
In lieu of flowers the family requests charitable donations made to the VNA Hospice of Indian River County, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
The family wishes to extend gratitude to VNA hospice which provided wonderful care throughout Kinney’s journey.
