Donald Angell, 79, Vero Beach

Donald Angell, 79, of Vero Beach, passed away on peacefully on July 24, 2014, surrounded 

by his loving family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary B. Angell; two daughters, Kim A. DeSisto (Anthony) and Karen A. Patterson (Larry); son, Donald J. Angell (Yola); sister, Carol Hennigan (Joseph); four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was the brother of the late Jean Tyson and Claire Grignon.

Born in Bellows Falls, Vt., a son of the late John and Katherine (O’Connell) Angell, he lived in Barrington and Vero Beach.

Angell founded Angell & Disend Inc., which is now the Angell Pension Group Inc., in 1971. He was a graduate of Dartmouth College, Class of 1958 where he was a member of the men’s basketball team. He was a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, Rhode Island Country Club and Hawks Nest Golf Club. A sports enthusiast, he enjoyed playing golf, tennis, squash, softball and basketball. Angell was a United States Army Veteran.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday July 30, from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside, R.I. at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington, R.I. at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Nayatt Road, Barrington, R.I. Calling hours are Tuesday 4-8 p.m.
