Leland Knickerbocker, 91, Sebastian

Leland “Lee” Knickerbocker, 91, of Sebastian, passed away on July 19, 2014.

He is survived by his son, Clark Knickerbocker (Anne); daughters, Patricia Gray (Christopher) and Kimberly Seckendorf; brother, Gerald Knickerbocker; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his wife Helene Savery Knickerbocker and son-in-law Howie Seckendorf.

He was born Pittsfield, Mass. on March 10, 1923, to Douglas and Ruth Knickerbocker.

He was a resident of Sebastian for 24 years, moving from his hometown of Dalton, Mass. He belonged to the First Congregational Church in Dalton, Mass., and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Pittsfield and the Rotary Club in Dalton.

He loved to travel with his wife Helene and friends Harry Walton and Abbott Combes. He also spent many hours playing cards with friends.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 13, at 11 a.m. at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 S. Fleming Street, Sebastian, FL 32958.
