Homeless Family Center receives United Way and MALTA Grant

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Homeless Family Center, Inc. is proud to announce they are the recipients of the United Way of Indian River County Grant. The United Way of Indian River County presented Homeless Family Center with a grant of $51,000 for support of operations.

Homeless Family Center would like to also announce that they are the recipients of the MALTA grant in the amount of $2,026.50.

MALTA’s grant is to help, The Homeless Family Center with expenses in providing services to all 21 of the families here.

“We appreciate the grants that we received from both The United Way and Malta. With these grants, it makes it possible for us to better help our wonderful families here,” said Homeless Family Center’s Executive Director Mary Ellen Maguire. “We accept these grants with sincere gratitude on behalf of the families that we serve.”

Homeless Family Center’s mission is to provide opportunities for homeless families to end homelessness by achieving self-sufficiency through education, living wages, and permanent housing.
