William Baysura Sr., 83, of Vero Beach, passed away on July 14, 2014.
He is survived by his wife Jacqueline; children, William Jr. (Kelly), Jacqueline Runk (Tom); grandchildren, William III “Liam” and Ava Baysura, and Brandon and Jordan Baysura.
Baysura was a Combat Wounded Purple Heart recipient and veteran of the Korean War and accomplished golfer from the Pittsburgh, Penn. area. He was a founding member of Seven Oaks C.C. in Beaver Falls, Penn. Among his many titles, his back to back City of Pittsburgh Golf Championships 1952-1953 were his favorite. It was played on Schenley Park Golf course where he caddied as a boy.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 17, at Strunk Funeral Home in Vero. A guest book is available at www.strunkfuneralhome.com.
