Paul Heidt, 71, of Sebastian, passed away on July 9, 2014, peacefully with his family at his side after a courageous fight with cancer.
He is survived by his wife Nancy E. Heidt; sons, Christopher Heidt and Paul Daniel Heidt; brother, Daniel Heidt; granddaughter, Jennifer Heidt; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Ethel Heidt and brother, William Heidt.
He was born in Flushing, N.Y., and lived in Sebastian since 1987 coming from Calverton, N.Y. Heidt was a US Army veteran and served during the Vietnam era. He retired from the US Postal Service in January. He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 13, at Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 14, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Sebastian. A guest book is available at www.strunkfuneralhome.com.
