SEBASTIAN — The Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce will be able to hold its Sebastian City Council Candidate Forum in the Council Chambers, the City Council decided Wednesday evening.
The Chamber will use the Council Chambers on Oct. 15 for the forum. The forum will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. and all candidates running for the two available seats will be encouraged to participate.
The event will be televised on the city’s government channel 25 on Comcast.
City Councilmen Jim Hill and Jerome Adams’s seats are up for election this November. So far, Adams is the only one to have filed pre-qualifying paperwork.
One other candidate initially filed to run but later withdrew from the race.
The qualifying period for the municipal election is Aug. 21 through Sept. 5.
