INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — After an investigation that started in April, an Indian River County man has been arrested after authorities found him in possession of 17 child pornography videos and marijuana, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Jarrid Ogden, 36, was arrested Wednesday around 1 p.m. in the 4300 block of 1st Street, according to the report. He was reportedly advertising files of suspected child pornography, according to authorities.
A subpoena was sent to AT&T for the subscriber and service information, which lead investigators to the arrest location.
A search of Ogden’s bedroom found two thumbdrives that contained videos of child pornography, according to authorities. One drive had nine videos and the other had eight videos of child pornography.
During an interview with authorities, Ogden said he downloaded child pornography, and had been since 2004. He went on to tell the Sheriff’s Office that his computer was password protected and no one else had access.
In addition to the pornography, drug paraphernalia, including two pipes with marijuana residue, a small mirror, and needles, were found in Ogden’s room. Less than 20 grams of marijuana, two Oxycodone pills, and 29 legend pills requiring a prescription, not prescribed to Ogden, were found in his bedroom.
According to the report, Ogden told investigators that those were his.
Ogden is currently being held at the Indian River County Jail on a bond of $89,500.
