INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The National Weather Service has issued a significant weather advisory in effect until 5:45 p.m.
A storm capable of wind gusts up to 55 mph and small hail is moving north from Fellsmere at 30 mph, according to the report. The primary threat will be cloud to ground lighting strikes and strong winds.
Torrential rainfall is also expected and could cause minor flooding.
The National Weather Service is urging people to seek shelter indoors, and motorists to slow down if caught in heavy rainfall.
