Margaret ‘Peggy’ Astor Drayton Reventlow, 98, Vero Beach

Margaret ‘Peggy’ Astor Drayton Reventlow, 98, of Litchfield, Conn., and Vero Beach, passed away on June 14, 2014.

She is survived by her daughter, Alida “Binky” Albright; son, Richard Haugwitz-Reventlow; two granddaughters, Leslie Merrell Zimmerman (Mark) and Ashley Cox Good; and five great-grandchildren.

Reventlow was born in London, England on Dec. 20, 1915.

She was an accomplished sculptress and painter with world wide exhibitions. She had studied with: Felix de Weldon in Newport, R.I. (sculptor of Iwo Jima Monument, Wash. D.C.), Ann Norton in West Palm Beach, and studied at The Art Students League in New York City. She was also the Founder and President of the Connecticut Volunteer Service for the Blind and Handicapped.
