Virginia P. Bauer, 86, of Sebastian

Virginia P. Bauer, 86, of Sebastian, died June 22, 2014 at home surrounded by family.

Mrs. Bauer was born on April 11, 1928, in New Jersey. She lived in West Caldwell, NJ, for over 40 years and in Sebastian since 1987.

Prior to moving to Florida, she attended Upsala College of Business, held key positions on many of the Town’s Boards and Committees and was the campaign manager for the local council, which never lost an election.

She loved theater and gardening and was a member of a local theater group and the State Garden Club. She formed a women’s softball team that was undefeated and was involved and instrumental in her children’s swimming.

She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sebastian.

Mrs. Bauer was a loving mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Arthur Bauer; her daughter, Debra Bauer; her parents, Ernest and Anna Margaret Krauth; and her brother, Ernie Krauth.

Survivors include three daughters, Carol, Janice and Jeanne (Vince); her son, Stephen (Milvia); and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Sebastian. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Indian River County in Vero Beach or to the First Presbyterian Church of Sebastian.
