Ronald Sample, 51, of Vero Beach, passed away on June 9, 2014.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Paula Sample; mother, Jean Sample; brothers, Robert Sample and Jay Sample; several nieces and nephews; his companion dog, Caesar; and his church family and friends.
He was predeceased by his father, George A. Sample in 2013.
Known as “Ron” he was born Jan. 23, 1963 in Bangor, Maine and had lived in North Carolina before moving to Vero Beach with his parents and brothers in 1976.
Sample was employed as an “A” class, water treatment plant operator for the City of Vero Beach for over 25 years. He was a member of the Teamster Union, member of Vero Lodge No. 250 Free & Accepted Masons, and a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and most of all his favored past time of playing the guitar and singing, sharing his God given talents with his church family and friends.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 23 at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Rev. Shelly Satran officiating, with a reception to following in the parish hall. With his always warm and friendly smile, gentle spirit and happy personality, Sample touched the lives not only of his immediate family, but all who were privileged to have known him. He always wanted to please everyone, he will be deeply missed. A
