VERO BEACH — A Vero Beach man is being held on $650,000 bond for felony charges including capital sexual battery, and lewd and lascivious molesting offender over 18 and victim under 12, according to an Indian River County arrest affidavit.
Kenneth Smith, 45, was served an active warrant for the two charges on Wednesday afternoon in the 8900 block of 20th Street in Vero Beach.
According to the report, Smith told the arresting officer that he did molest the child who’s name and age have been protected.
Smith’s court date is set for Aug. 4.
