Pelican Island NWR invites public to learn about birds, bees and butterflies

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Butterflies, and bees, and birds! Oh my! Did you know over 150 food crops in the US depend on pollinators, including oranges, tomatoes, and almonds?

Join us at Pelican Island NWR, off of Jungle trail, for a free family program on pollinators Saturday, June 21, at 10 a.m. to learn about butterflies of Florida and how they may become regular visitors to your yard.

Arrive early for kids face painting.
