Anthony James “PaPa” Tory, 79, of Vero Beach, passed away on June 13, 2014.
Rev. Tory is survived by his wife, Gloria J. Tory; sons, Leroy Thomas, Gary Tory, Carl Tory, and James Coffee; daughters, Sherry Tory Warren, Tekoya Tory, Teleria Tory, and Destiny Frazier; brother, Riley Tory; sister, Edna Williams; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Tory was preceded in death by his son, Maurice Tory, and his parents, Pinkie Foster and Ozzie Tory.
He was born on April 22, 1935 in Madison, Ga., and has been a resident of Indian River County since 1956.
Rev. Tory was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and the former Pastor of the Community Baptist Church in Gifford.
Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Friday June 20, 2014 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Gifford. A funeral service will be held Saturday June 21, 12 p.m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 4360 30th Avenue, Gifford. Burial will follow at Gifford Cemetery.
