INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Nominations are now being accepted to recognize the philanthropic leaders and businesses in our community during National Philanthropy Day, being held on Tuesday, Nov. 18. The Association of Fundraising Professionals Indian River Chapter (AFPIR) encourages all nonprofits in Indian River County to consider making a nomination.
Award categories include Outstanding Individual Philanthropist, Outstanding Corporate Philanthropist, Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy, Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year, and Unsung Hero.
The nominating process is open to AFPIR members and nonmembers, and organizations are asked to submit the name and category of nominees no later than June 25, followed by a first draft of the application by July 14.
Once the nominee’s name is submitted, a mentor from the AFPIR is available to the nominating organization to assist in guiding the nonprofit through the application process. Organizations have until July 31st to submit their completed nomination packet.
