INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – Coming to the Environmental Learning Center in mid-June is Water Ventures’ traveling science center, a 53-foot semi-trailer customized to provide hands-on exhibits that focus on the how and why of water as it moves through our lives.
Both indoor and outdoor Learning Lab stations cover topics ranging from Florida’s aquifers, watersheds and wetlands to the water cycle and water conservation, “the wonders of the water molecule,” the hydrology of Florida’s water systems and how water is shared world-wide.
The mobile lab’s staff will be on hand to tailor the learning experience for all ages, from pre-schoolers to adults.
The goal is to help children understand, appreciate and respect Florida’s water resources.
