Jean C. Bauer, 80, of Indian River County, passed away on June 1, 2014.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Don Bauer; sister, and many other relatives in the McCarthy-Mahoney family who will miss her very much.
Bauer was born in Perham, Minn., on May 7, 1934 to Rose and Frank McCarthy. She graduated from Minneapolis Business College and had quite a career in business and did much service to help politicians. One of her most loved causes was Right to Life and she was one of the first to march in D. C. for this cause.
Bauer and her husband’s love radiated to all around them, and they were an example of true love and dedication. Her husband Don always said, “When she smiled, the whole room lighted up.”
Bauer loved her family, friends, and God, very much. She never met a stranger, and always wanted to be there to help anyone who ever needed anything.
She lived most of her life in Minnesota and Florida, a resident of Florida since 1989.
Services are on Saturday, June 14, at 11 a.m. at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian.
